The Wage and Hour Division will hold six state-focused online sessions from 12 to 21 May for employers, young workers, parents, school counsellors and HR staff.
The webinars will explain federal youth employment protections, banned jobs for under-18s, legal working hours, state child labour laws and free compliance toolkits before summer hiring.
In fiscal 2025, the department investigated 976 child labour cases affecting 5,272 children and assessed more than $37.2m in civil penalties nationwide.
