The Cambridge company said it is working with the US Army institute and Korea University, while WHO has identified six cases, two suspected cases and three deaths linked to the Hondius.
Moderna said the work began before the Dutch-flagged cruise ship outbreak and forms part of its effort to prepare countermeasures against emerging infectious diseases; its shares rose 12%.
