Eden Boys’ pupils’ BEE FIT scheme is runner-up in King’s Trust challenge

The Bradford team reached the Yorkshire and Humber regional finals at Headingley Stadium in Leeds after competing against more than 300 schools.
Their idea offered affordable football, dodgeball and badminton to improve students’ physical and mental health, and won joint first place in the initial judging round before finishing runner-up overall.
Although they missed £500 in start-up funding, the pupils plan to develop BEE FIT in school. Eden Boys’ Leadership Academy is an Ofsted-outstanding secondary free school in Star Academies.
