The Republican state senator from Eads, elected in 2022 to represent Senate District 31, said he wants to represent Middle and West Tennessee in Washington.
Taylor announced his campaign shortly after the Tennessee General Assembly approved a congressional map splitting Memphis into three districts, a change Republicans say creates an opening in District 9.
