US natural gas futures rise 2% on smaller-than-expected storage build

Nymex gas traded at $2.824 per mmBtu after a 63 Bcf injection cut the inventory surplus over the five-year average.
NatGasWeather.com said next week's storage report may show another slightly smaller-than-usual build before two larger weekly injections.
The forecaster also said hotter-than-normal temperatures are spreading across the US interior in late May and early June, a pattern seen as supportive for prices.
