The March lawsuit targets a Houston surgery centre, surgeon Kendall Roehl, anesthesiologist Yiu-Hei Ching and two nurses after Barbera, 48, died on 13 August 2025.
Her husband says the operation lasted more than 10 hours and followed other doctors' refusals to perform six procedures at once; she was later declared brain-dead after breathing problems.
