Forth rose 14.8%, Erawan Group gained 11.1%, and Thaicom added 9.2% as most Southeast Asian markets also fell, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia.
Elsewhere in Asia-Pacific, Hong Kong, Japan and Australia declined, Shanghai was flat and South Korea edged up; the dollar slipped 0.2% against the baht to 32.20.
