As he turns 100 on Friday, BBC Natural History Unit colleagues in Bristol said his energy, writing and narration remain exceptional after more than 70 years.
Executive producer Mike Gunton and Blue Planet II collaborator Elizabeth White said Attenborough stays deeply involved in productions that can take three or four years and remains notably modest.
