The State Department said Allen, a Utah-born sculptor based in Mexico, will show in the U.S. Pavilion with curator Jeffrey Uslip.
The selection followed an unusually delayed process under the second Trump administration, after the application was released only about 12 months before the exhibition.
A prior September choice reportedly collapsed before announcement, and the pavilion will be backed by the newly formed American Arts Conservancy, founded in Tampa last year.
