China's commerce ministry opposes EU curbs on funding for Chinese power inverters

In Beijing, the ministry said on Thursday it rejected a European Commission recommendation targeting EU-funded projects using inverters from "high-risk suppliers" including China.
A spokesperson said China would monitor and assess the policy and take measures to protect the interests of Chinese companies affected by the proposed restrictions.
Beijing also urged the EU to stop labelling China a high-risk country and to abandon what it called unfair, discriminatory treatment of Chinese products.
