Prima Meat Packers reports lower FY2026 net profit

The Japanese meat processor posted net profit of Y4.59 billion for the year ended 31 March, versus Y7.08 billion a year earlier, with earnings per share falling to Y91.28 from Y140.79.
Revenue rose to Y475.57 billion from Y458.35 billion, while operating profit edged up to Y9.13 billion from Y8.95 billion and pretax profit increased to Y11.19 billion from Y10.50 billion.
The results were prepared under Japanese accounting standards, showing stronger sales and operating performance but a weaker bottom line than in FY2025.
