Sony says PlayStation 5 shipments reach 93.7 million worldwide

In the quarter to 31 March 2026, Sony shipped 1.5 million PS5 units, down 0.9 million year on year, while PlayStation Network monthly active users rose to 125 million.
PS5 and PS4 software sales totalled 74.6 million units, including 5.8 million first-party titles, and digital downloads made up 85% of full-game sales, up five percentage points.
Sony said fiscal 2026 gaming operating income should be broadly flat as it increases investment in a next-generation platform, while PS5 hardware sales will depend on securing memory at reasonable prices.
