April sales of Wegovy, Ozempic and partner-branded versions reached 32,000 units in the first full month after generic semaglutide launched.
The company cut starting-dose prices by 36% for Ozempic and 48% for Wegovy from April 1, reducing both to 5,660 rupees.
The gains suggest branded demand remains resilient in India even as lower-cost generic GLP-1 obesity and diabetes treatments enter the market.
