Counting is under way across 16 new constituencies to elect 96 members, raising Cardiff Bay's total from 60 under Wales's redesigned electoral map.
Each constituency returns six members under the D'Hondt proportional system, replacing first-past-the-post and ending voters' ability to back individual candidates.
Instead, voters chose a party list, with seats allocated by formula according to each party's share of the vote in every constituency.
