Shares fell 46% to $9.40 after hours as the customer, worth about $250m of 2025 revenue, discusses moving significant business to other providers.
Forward Air said most of the transition would begin in early 2027 and continue through the year, while it tries to retain as much business as possible.
The warning came with a first-quarter net loss of $34.3m on revenue of $582m, down from $613.3m a year earlier and below analyst estimates.
