Running from May 2026 to May 2028 in Birmingham’s Knowledge Quarter, the programme links students to developments including the £90m Birmingham BioCity within a wider £4bn regeneration zone.
Students will take part in live briefs, work experience, site visits and industry-led sessions, while Woodbourne provides workshops, access to construction sites and a £1,500 annual prize fund.
The scheme targets young people from widening participation backgrounds, including SEND learners, in an area of high unemployment and deprivation, aligning with West Midlands mayoral priorities on jobs, skills and inclusive growth.
