Speaking in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, Dončić said doctors gave him an eight-week timetable after the Grade 2 hamstring injury in early April, leaving even a potential Game 7 too soon.
He said he has progressed to on-court running but has not been cleared for contact, and revealed he underwent four PRP treatments in Spain with the Lakers' doctors' approval.
The update goes beyond his earlier Game 2 absence and suggests Los Angeles, trailing 1-0, may need to reach the Western Conference finals for their 33.5-point-a-game star to return.
