ILO and Nigeria's RAAMP formalise $10.7m rural road maintenance partnership

Signed in Abuja, the deal covers 12 states and runs from February 2025 to May 2029, targeting more than four million workdays.
ILO will support maintenance of about 2,400km of rural roads and 1,200km of spot improvements, with 1.5 million direct and 2.7 million indirect workdays expected.
The programme emphasises decent work, skills, women and people with disabilities, while helping build climate-resilient road systems and stronger market access for rural communities.
