The ROH women’s pure champion, crowned in December after beating Billie Starkz, said the promotion offers four to six women’s matches most weeks and room to develop characters.
Purrazzo said ROH, now AEW’s sister company under Tony Khan, gives wrestlers chances to grow away from the spotlight, while Athena and Red Velvet currently hold the division’s other top titles.
She also promoted Battle for the Brave on 6 June with husband Steve Maclin, a charity event supporting Tunnel to Towers and highlighting veterans’ struggles after military service.
