Lee County prosecutors said a grand jury indicted the 40-year-old on first-degree murder over the 2 April killing at a Fort Myers gas station in Florida.
Authorities say surveillance video shows Joachin repeatedly striking 51-year-old Easmin after she confronted him for smashing her car window, before he fled and was later arrested.
Fox said the Bangladeshi immigrant mother was killed while working, and the case has also drawn political attention over Joachin's immigration history after entering the US from Haiti in 2022.
