The Star Wars actor removed the AI-generated Bluesky post on Thursday after the White House called him a “sick individual” and linked such rhetoric to three assassination attempts in two years.
Hamill said he had wished Trump would live long enough to face accountability, impeachment, conviction and humiliation, adding that he apologised if the image was considered inappropriate.
The deleted image showed Trump lying before a gravestone marked “1946-2024” with the caption “If Only”. Hamill has been a frequent critic of Trump and his policies.
