The stock closed at $352.05 on Thursday as the S&P 500 fell 0.38% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.63% in a broadly weak session.
The decline snapped Marriott's two-day winning streak and left the shares 7.36% below their 52-week high of $380, reached on 21 April.
Marriott lagged Airbnb and Hyatt, whose shares rose, while Hilton slipped less; trading volume was 1.2 million, about 320,703 below its 50-day average.
