Ubisoft said the remake will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, with a $59.99 standard edition plus Deluxe and Collector's editions.
The updated version uses Ubisoft Anvil, adds refined parkour, new stealth and combat options, smarter enemies, extra crew characters and overhauled modern-day story elements.
Set in the 18th-century Caribbean with Edward Kenway, the remake follows years of rumours, keeps the main story, but drops multiplayer and excludes the Freedom Cry DLC.
