Author clears Roku cache to fix sluggishness and app issues

The fix uses a hidden remote sequence — Home five times, Up once, Rewind twice, Fast Forward twice — which soft resets the device and can also be entered in the Roku mobile app.
The restart clears temporary system clutter that can cause freezing, splash-screen hangs, audio-video sync problems and error messages, making apps such as Netflix and Disney+ feel faster and more responsive.
It is not a cure-all: persistent problems may require reinstalling apps or deleting unused ones because Roku devices have limited storage and memory, and the author recommends clearing cache about once a month.
