At Toyota Technical Center Shimoyama in Aichi, Toyota also demonstrated helicopter transport tests and disaster drills with Toyota City; the site employs about 3,000 people.
Toyota said the three-row battery-electric SUV was developed through an integrated drive-break-fix-retest process at the centre, which began full operations in March 2024 after construction started in 2018.
