At Marathon Petroleum's 665,000-barrel-a-day Texas refinery, sulfur recovery units in both East and West plants shut overnight Wednesday before restarting.
The company said it activated a sulfur shed plan and routed vent streams to flare while restoring the units to normal operations.
Separately, Marathon said its 384,500-barrel-a-day Los Angeles refinery will begin four days of planned maintenance on Friday, with flaring and contaminant emissions possible through May 12.
