Manager Aaron Boone said the Yankees left fielder will miss a few weeks after an MRI found a left AC sprain following Thursday's 9-2 win over Texas.
Dominguez crashed into the video board making a first-inning catch of Brandon Nimmo's 101 mph drive and also entered concussion protocol, though Boone said initial tests were negative.
Jones, 24, is batting .258 with 11 homers and a .958 OPS at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and will replace Dominguez, who was only in his second outfield game this season.
