The Wausau native and founder will pitch the app to moguls on a weekend episode airing Saturday at 10 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. on CW.
Sit By Me is designed to help businesses fill seats and boost revenue by letting users connect with strangers at coffee shops, bars and other venues for real-life conversations.
Steckart says the idea grew from studying alone at UW-Milwaukee and could help tackle loneliness; Wausau already has four participating Community Connection Points, with a version three launch party set for June 6.
