Lyft and Uber drivers reconsider gig work as gas prices rise

In Minnesota, drivers said fuel has climbed from about $2 to $4.09 a gallon, adding roughly $40 a day for some full-time workers.
Drivers said Uber and Lyft fuel rewards and Lyft's 60-day cash-back relief programme do not offset higher costs, while some also reported fewer rides and sharply lower earnings.
Some warned the pressure could become catastrophic if prices keep rising, as Minnesota rideshare drivers also seek legal changes allowing them to unionise and bargain for better pay.
