Driving a Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package and new Manthey Kit, he posted 6:55.533 at the 20.832km Nordschleife, more than nine seconds quicker than the previous class mark.
Porsche said the retrofit kit triples downforce versus the standard car, raises output to 600kW and boosts Attack Mode to 130kW, with suspension, tyres and brakes also reworked for track use.
The lap was notarised and also beat Kern's October 2023 Taycan Turbo GT Weissach time by 12 seconds, marking Manthey's first electric-vehicle upgrade developed with Porsche's Weissach and Meuspath teams.
