On 5 May, Rushu Tushu said she paid Rs 1,515 instead of Rs 15 for three bananas, and the vendor ran after her before refunding Rs 1,500.
She posted transaction screenshots and photos online, saying the shopkeeper calmly scanned her QR code to return the excess and urged her to double-check payments.
The episode, previously reported as happening in Pune, has drawn praise online for the seller's honesty and ended with the customer, her friends and the vendor laughing off the mistake.
