In Hunts Point, manager Miguel Calderon said the group has placed close to 5,000 to 6,000 people in transportation, health, warehouse and office jobs over 15 years.
It also helps residents earn GEDs, with client Rebecca Rivera saying the programme opened paths to further study and possible college after years focused on work and raising children.
Calderon said a grant from the Economic Development Corporation last year expanded partnerships with Casita Maria, The Point and The Hope Program to connect local residents with local jobs.
