The deal in Europe’s largest car market uses a new EV subsidy and undercuts the similarly sized Fiat 500, which costs about twice as much to lease.
Leapmotor is pitching the T03 as a low-cost city car with a rear-view camera, six airbags and a panoramic sun roof included as standard.
The move is aimed at expanding the Chinese brand’s foothold in Germany by making electric motoring cheaper than many consumers’ monthly mobile-phone bills.
