The Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver said he found God about five years ago while at Ohio State and now sees sharing the Gospel as part of his purpose.
Egbuka said faith gave him identity, peace and joy, helping him through mental struggles behind the scenes as he developed into a national champion and NFL rookie.
He also cited other openly Christian NFL players and, during a USAA event in Tampa, helped assemble hurricane disaster kits and promote storm preparedness.
