ITC Ltd shares fall 0.95% and underperform competitors

The stock closed at 307.65 rupees on Thursday as the BSE Sensex fell 0.15% to 77,844.52 in a broadly weak Indian market session.
ITC lagged peers, with Golden Tobacco down 0.50% and Godfrey Phillips India up 1.40%, while trading volume was 821,091 against a 50-day average of 1.1 million.
The close left ITC 30.73% below its 52-week high of 444.15 rupees reached on May 27, extending a decline from Wednesday's 310.60-rupee finish.
