Singapore ministry warns employers over unlawful overtime pay offsets

Manpower Minister Tan See Leng told Parliament companies using fixed monthly allowances to offset migrant workers' overtime could face warnings and fines.
Workers with overtime shortfalls can file claims through TADM, stay in Singapore to seek new jobs while cases proceed, or use remote mediation and adjudication from abroad.
The warning follows a High Court ruling overturning an Employment Claims Tribunal decision and affirming fixed monthly allowances cannot include, reduce or cap overtime payments.
