The Nigerian Communications Commission said active subscriptions increased from 152.48 million in February, with about 670,000 users added and all four major telecom operators posting gains.
MTN remained the largest provider at 82.53 million subscribers, ahead of Airtel on 54.22 million and Globacom on 15.56 million, reflecting steady month-on-month growth in digital connectivity demand.
Analysts linked the rise to network investment, service improvements and heavier use of online services, as Nigeria pursues broadband expansion and wider digital inclusion under its National Broadband Plan.
