For the quarter ended 31 March in Japan, net profit rose to Y891 million from Y807 million, while revenue increased to Y7.00 billion from Y6.62 billion.
Operating profit climbed to Y1.26 billion from Y1.18 billion, pretax profit to Y1.29 billion from Y1.19 billion, and earnings per share to Y124.83 from Y113.14.
The group said the results were prepared under Japanese accounting standards, indicating broad year-on-year improvement across sales, profitability and per-share earnings in the latest quarter.
