Iveco expects Tata Motors acquisition to close by third quarter

The Italian truck maker said the 3.8 billion-euro deal has secured most clearances after completing the 1.6 billion-euro sale of its defence unit to Leonardo in March.
The takeover had previously been expected to finish in the first half of 2026, with completion tied to separating Iveco's defence business from its commercial vehicles operations.
Iveco also reported first-quarter net profit of 1.17 billion euros, up from 38 million euros, while adjusted EBIT fell to a 55 million-euro loss and revenue edged up to 2.83 billion euros.
