Shares closed at $419.75 on Wednesday, while the S&P 500 rose 1.46% and the Dow gained 1.24% in a broadly stronger market.
The decline marked Texas Pacific Land's fourth straight daily loss, leaving the stock 23.29% below its 52-week high of $547.20 reached on 23 February.
Even so, it fared better than peers EOG Resources, Devon Energy and Occidental Petroleum, which fell more sharply, while trading volume of 475,789 stayed below its 50-day average.
