Mark Shapiro dismisses complaints about UFC event quality

On a Wednesday TKO financial call, he pointed to UFC 327 in Miami, a sold-out Perth Fight Night and the upcoming UFC Freedom 250 card.
Shapiro said the promotion is continually rebuilding through new talent, naming Joshua Van, Carlos Prates and Michael Morales, and backed Dana White's matchmakers to keep producing strong events.
His defence comes amid criticism of weaker cards since the January Paramount deal and as TKO, which reported $89.4m quarterly profit on Tuesday, said UFC revenue rose 12%.
