Shares closed at $59.41 on Wednesday, marking a second straight gain as trading volume reached 4.7 million, well above the 50-day average of 2.4 million.
The broader market also advanced, with the S&P 500 up 1.46% to 7,365.12 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 1.24% to 49,910.59.
BorgWarner remained 15.23% below its 52-week high of $70.08 set on 12 February, while peers Aptiv, QuantumScape and Lear also posted gains.
