The shutdown runs through 17 May at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre on West 49th Street, where a full vacate order remains in place after Monday's electrical blaze.
Producers and ATG Entertainment said damage was limited to the lighting booth, but city inspectors found heavy fire damage there and on the roof; one firefighter suffered minor injuries.
The cause is still under investigation. The 15-year-old hit, Broadway's 10th longest-running show, had been grossing about $750,000 weekly and hopes to mark its anniversary in June.
