Aggressive beaver captured for testing after attacking boy in New Jersey park

Mahwah police said the eight-year-old was bitten in the upper thigh while fishing at Lake Henry in Continental Soldiers Park on Sunday evening and was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital.
A nearby family acquaintance fought off the animal after the boy tripped while fleeing, and officers later received other reports and video suggesting the same beaver approached or attacked visitors earlier that day.
Tyco Animal Control said the beaver showed signs of possible illness, captured and removed it from the park, and authorities have not released the boy's condition as the investigation continues.
