Creative director Paul Fu said the work-in-progress remake uses Anvil technology from Assassin’s Creed Shadows and will be previewed through several upcoming deep-dive articles.
New and returning features include ziplines, manual jump, crouching anywhere, Observe mode, adaptive enemies and earlier access to the rope dart in sequence three instead of 11.
The update says social stealth, tailing and eavesdropping are less punishing, while a later article will cover naval gameplay for Edward Kenway’s Caribbean adventure.
