The 64-year-old former LSU and Notre Dame coach said he has used Anthropic's assistant daily for six months since his 26 October 2025 firing.
Kelly said Claude helps him develop answers for athletic directors and analyse recruiting, player profiling and the transfer portal as college football changes through NIL and revenue-sharing.
He said AI will enhance rather than replace coaching. Kelly, out of coaching for the first time since 1991, was fired by LSU after a 34-14 record without a playoff appearance.
