Voting begins at 07:00 BST across Wales, with 96 Members of the Senedd chosen in 16 constituencies, up from 60 seats.
Each constituency elects six politicians, with seats allocated roughly in proportion to party vote share; polls close at 22:00 BST and counting starts on Friday.
Voters cast one ballot for a party or independent candidate, no ID is required, and 16 and 17-year-olds can vote for the second Welsh parliamentary election.
