Speaking in the Oval Office on Wednesday, Trump said talks with Iranian negotiators were “good” and claimed Tehran had agreed on that point “among other things”.
He said Iran badly wants a deal, but offered no details, while repeating his red line that the country cannot possess a nuclear weapon.
Trump also claimed senior Iranian leaders had been killed and called that regime change; Iran has long said its nuclear activities are for peaceful purposes.
