Buc-ee’s files federal trademark lawsuit against Teddy’s Market

In Atlanta, the Texas chain said the North Georgia gas station uses an anthropomorphic mascot, store renderings and an entrance statue that are confusingly similar.
Buc-ee’s wants Teddy’s blocked from operating under the brand, its US trademark application refused, and punitive damages, arguing overlapping products and markets could mislead customers.
The company, which has more than 50 stores and is preparing to open its fourth Georgia site, has previously sued other chains over alleged mascot and branding imitation.
