LAPD's West Traffic Division said Wednesday the arrest relates to a crash at Vista Del Mar and Culver Boulevard that killed one-year-old Roger Sandoval and his 25-year-old uncle Oswaldo.
Police say a speeding white Jeep SUV hit Oscar Sandoval's sedan just after 4:30am Sunday, then the driver fled on foot; Sandoval's 15-year-old sister was severely injured.
The family had been heading home from the beach when the crash happened, and a GoFundMe has been set up as investigators have yet to release further details about the suspect.
